My little girl is getting so big!


She has a monkey named Maddie that is a pacifier holder. She loves her monkey. And sucking on her head is a favorite car-ride pasttime.




Carrots are one of her favorite foods.


She recently found her feet and LOVES to hold on to them while playing.

Rollin'

Here she is rolling around - she is really very good at it now. She can go both tummy to back and back to tummy and she scoots herself around and turns herself around on her tummy, too.
I love this ballet outfit - my future little ballerina!

Vacation in CO

We went to Colorado this past week for a conference Chuck had through work. The weather was great, but we expected it to be much cooler than home, so we had to get Caroline some new clothes that provided more cover than her sundresses.

Food fun

Pictures to come, honest. But see 4 mos post for the excuses as to why they're not here yet.

Caroline began green beans at the beginning of July. She makes an unhappy face with each bite, but then opens her mouth for more. She loves to eat food. And this week, while sitting on my lap at dinner at a friend's house, she tried to help herself to my plate. Repeatedly.

Grabbing is her new trick. She's been grabbing for toys more, pulling hair, jewelry (no dangle earrings for mommy!) etc. I made her a new lovie blanket this week - one with fun-to-feel fabrics and lots or satin ribbon tags on the edges. She seems to like it.

We had a few days that were awful. Bad sleeping, bad eating, lots of fussing. Days where mommy (and Daddy, too) were grumpy, but trying not to be. But things are improving now, thank goodness.

She laughs all the time now. Last night Chuck started laughing at her and she started laughing at him and they were both laughing so hard... it was SO CUTE.

We are traveling to Colorado tomorrow. 4 days, 3 nights in the mountains where the forecast is high in the mid-60's, lows in the low 40's. That's WINTER for us! We had to go buy her some warmer clothes - all she has is sun dresses right now. Can't wait to see how cute she looks in jeans. We raided the local consignment shop for some cute outfits.
