4 mos

At her 4 mos appt she was 14 lbs, 12 oz and 24" long. She is getting to be a big girl. She began trying out rice cereal that same week. She likes it and loves sitting in her highchair with mommy and daddy at dinner time.

Firsts (or more accurately - New Stuff, but all the other posts began with F)

We recently were given a high chair by a friend (Thanks, Cheryl!) and Caroline has been enjoying her time at the table. She's not eating from it yet, of course since she is still exclusively nursing, but she likes to be up with us at dinner time.

She also recently got a Bumbo. She loves being closer to us while we are working n the kitchen, etc. Don't worry. We don't step away and leave her there!

Another new trick is holding something on her own - this little bunny rattle was an Easter gift.

And she seems to have recently discovered her tongue because this is her newest expression.

Her other new skill, which I haven't gotten any pictures of yet, is that she is rolling over much more often now. This was learned at 1AM over the weekend, however, so I wasn't nearly as thrilled with her learning it as I thought I'd be! She can turn each way from her stomach to her back now and does so much more often. She had done this maybe 3 times previously, but now it's a multiple times daily sort of thing and it gets done a lot when she's done with her sleeping and is ready to move on with her day.

Father's Day

This was Chuck's first Father's Day (though we had a small inkling last year, we didn't get the for sure until the day after) and we had a good, restful day overall.

Grampa and Grandma Connie came over for dinner after an afternoon visit to see Papa and meet Uncle Tyler.

Family Visit

Some extended family came into town this week and we got together at a house Joslin was house-sitting. The kids swam, we had Cuban sandwiches and a good time was had by all.

Finally!

Coral was able to come home for a short visit this week and she brought her youngest daughter, Rebecca (8 mos), who I hadn't met yet either. She got to see Caroline for the first time and since I had been talking about "Aunt Coral" for ages, Caroline was quite happy to figure out who I was talking about.
The girls spent the day together and were really cute when they finally discovered one another.

Fashionista

Caroline has such cute outfits and she's growing so fast. Here a few of my favorites lately:

This dress is SO incredibly cute. It's not always practical to wear, but it's cool for these HOT summer days.

This little Ladybug romper was bought at Gymboree - so cute! She's quickly outgrowing it.

This is such a soft little onesie, given to her by Oma.
