2 months

It hardly seems possible that our little girl is already 2 months old! It's been a rough week (she was fussy nearly every day but Thursday) after a busy weekend (Saturday was spent in preparation for a former teacher's funeral where Christiana sang and spoke and was a bit of a reunion for many old friends and former KCS teachers and Sunday was our friend's Kristy and Mark's son Dylan's 5th birthday party).

Today Caroline had her 2 month doctor's appointment and got 4 shots and an oral vaccine. It was awful for both her and Christiana and we've never been so grateful for Tylenol Infant drops (of course, this was the first time they were given to her, too, so take that for what's worth). Caroline's little thighs look a bit like pin cushions and she even got a bad bruise from one of the injections. Poor baby. Despite all this, she has eaten very well today and we hope that with the help of the Tylnol she might sleep well, too.

Pictures to come soon...

Smile time

Our little munchkin has been very smiley of recent days. Last week, Chuck came home from a bad day at work and she smiled at him the moment he picked her up - he said it made up for the rest of the day. She is certainly Daddy's girl.

She got to meet her likely-to-be friend Emily, our friends Andy and Margie's little girl who was born about 6 weeks before Caroline. We had a "play date" at Margie's house this week and I can't wait for our girls to start interacting with each other to become friends in the future.

We went out last night for a production of Rent! and her Gramma babysat. We very much enjoyed our night out and it was much fun and a great cast.

Travel

Caroline took her first road trip this past weekend for Christiana's cousin's wedding in Dunellon. We drove to GiGi's house (Christiana's grandmother) in Inverness and relaxed for a few hours with Uncle Dale, Kelsey and Tedo and went on to the wedding from there.
It was a beautiful wedding and we were so glad to be able to go. Christiana and Caroline mastered the are of nursing in the car and overall, it was a great experience. Caroline didn't seem to mind the interruption to her usual routine and surroundings and kept to her usual schedule, even overnight. It was so good to see the extended family and we only wish that Aunt Steffanie and cousin Logan could have also been present.

Congratulations to Courtney and Jason on beginning their new life together!
